The Chiptune Necromancers is a team made up of video game music scholars Dr. George Reid, Dr. Matthew Ferrandino and Dr. Brent Ferguson. We are friends first, and we came together to start the Bardcore project, which has a goal of preparing a game to teach music history from a slant. the team released the first volume of the soundtrack from the game in November 2025 on all streaming services.
